Position: Full-time

***TRADE ASSISTANT NEEDED***

This client is a large manufacturer based in South Auckland. They are looking for someone with a couple of years hands-on experience in Engineering who is keen to learn from tradespeople.

This is an afternoon shift position, Monday to Friday. The successful person will be trained on day shift until they have learnt the role, then moved to the afternoon shift. You will also need to be available to work on a weekend roster.

 

Day-to-day responsibilities of the role:

The job will be working with tools assisting manufacturing and engineering department in everyday maintenance tasks, breakdowns and repairs.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • A positive attitude
  • A keen willingness to learn and follow instructions
  • A background aptitude in practical, hands-on Engineering
  • An excellent record of attendance and stability within previous roles

Candidate skills and experience:

  • Mechanical engineering skills
  • Problem solving
  • Hands-on experience

Your application will require providing the following:

  • The right to work full-time in NZ
  • Excellent English communication
  • Clear Ministry of Justice check
  • Must pass a full drug test
  • Safety boots are a must
