Automotive Electrician (Onehunga)

  • We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Automotive Electrician to join our growing team.
  • In this role, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our vehicles by troubleshooting and repairing electrical faults.
  • Permanent Role.

Day-to-day responsibilities of the role:

  • Diagnose and repair electrical problems in a variety of vehicles, using advanced diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on electrical components like alternators, starters, lighting systems, and engine management systems.
  • Ensure all repairs adhere to strict safety regulations and manufacturer specifications.
  • Maintain accurate repair records and document all work performed.
  • May assist with diagnosing and repairing other vehicle systems, working collaboratively with mechanics.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Automotive Electrician or related field.
  • Proven ability to diagnose and repair complex electrical problems in a variety of vehicles.
  • Strong understanding of automotive electrical theory and principles.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment, including scan tools and multimeters.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Candidate skills and experience:

  • Mechanical engineering work related experience.
  • Preventative maintenance of machinery.
  • Hands-on experience in Food Manufacturing essential.

  • Clear Ministry of Justice check.
  • Must pass a full drug test.
  • Excellent literacy and communication skills.
